OGE which is Germany’s leading gas transmission company with 12,000 km’s long gas distribution system and more than 50 compressor stations, this month selected integrated CAE solution CADISON® as their engineering planning and information management tool.
The pilot evaluation for the selection of the right tool also included external engineering consultants and suppliers to OGE. CADISON® will be used to plan and standardize all engineering documentation in areas of Central Control Technology, Operations and Installation Engineering. The scope of supply includes a customized interface to enable transfer of data from engineering systems to the business solutions in use at OGE. Marc Zietan, the Project Manager for OGE was quite impressed with the competence of the tool and the people he dealt with. CADISON® for engineering planning, design and documentation reduces the project cycle time and improves engineering efficiency by at least 20 -30%. It’s a practical engineering tool designed ‘by engineers, for engineers.’ It also reduces the cost of acquisitions of high-end engineering systems by customers.
