HUBLI: Engineering service provider Neilsoft in association with NASSCOM and three colleges has come out with a unique project Headstart to woo engineering graduates to engineering services (non-IT/BT sectors). BVB college of Engineering and Technology is one of the three colleges working with the Neilsoft to implement the project.
Disclosing this at a press conference here on Tuesday, BVB college principal Dr. Ashok Shettar said as a majority of engineering students were moving towards the IT/BT sectors, the core engineering subjects like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc had suffered a set back due to lack of talented students opting for these subjects.
To gain momentum
The engineering service sectors will gain a momentum in the days to come as they have a huge potential to boost economical growth of the world and abundant job opportunities for youngsters.
Therefore, there is an urgent need for preparing and encouraging students to chose engineering services rather than IT and BT jobs, he said, adding the Headstart would play a crucial role in this direction. |
